Firesign | Enlightened Legal Marketing was selected as a Gold Winner in the 2024 Hermes Creative Awards, an international competition administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.

The winning entry was Firesign’s website redesign for client SECIL Law of Washington, D.C., which focuses on securities disputes, white-collar defense, and complex civil litigation.

SECIL’s lawyers wanted a website that projects their experience and skill taking on high-profile investigations, yet shows they’re not “stick-in-the-mud soulless automatons.” To do this, Firesign partner/creative director Katie McNeil and graphic designer Sky Morrell chose color palettes and shapes that are a refreshing change from more traditional sites. One of the features that helps set SECIL apart from other law firm websites is their creative and subtle use of the triangle in SECIL’s logo, including in the mobile drop-down menu.

The 2024 Hermes Awards competition was expected to attract around 6,500 entries. The entries are judged individually by AMCP members, which consist of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, digital media production, and freelance professionals.

This is the sixth time Firesign’s work has been honored among the nation’s best law firm websites. Firesign has won Lawyerist’s Best Law Firm Websites award for two years running, took home Gold and Platinum honors from the dotCOMM Awards, and received recognition in the Communicator Awards.
